Now, getting your piece of art on the front page does not define you as an artist, I know this. I just think the whole concept of art communities is so fucking stupid.
It'd be different if it was just about people submitting their art, you know. Getting people who like what you do or your style to say 'oh wow that's nice. you could work on this, maybe that..' Getting crit so that you can improve as an artist.
But no, the second you fucking crit someone's work, trying to help them better yourself, NO NO YOU FUKKEN TROLL GET OUT OF MY PAGE IM GOING TO REPORT U.
Seriously? Go fuck off and die.
If you want to be popular, become a comment whore. Comment fucking EVERYTHING, this will get you comments back. Fav/watch as much as you can.. If anything, this gets you more exposure because of the fuckfaces that will go to your page to comment you, thanking you for a favorite or a watch. Excuse me, you're posting on a fucking art site. You're bound to get a favorite or a watch from people, even if your shit sucks. <-- proves that fact. Eventually your pageviews will rack up, thus the retards who get sucked into the whole popularity contest will see how many pageviews you have over time, and you will be spammed with people who have the mindset of "OH LOOK THIS PERSON HAS A LOT OF PAGEVIEWS THIS MEANS PEOPLE LIKE THEM WHICH MUST MEAN THEY'RE GOOD SO I'M GOING TO WATCH THEM."
Also; fanart. Everyone knows this. Anime and fanart. If you draw some halfassed anime knockoff cliche picture, over and over again... mix that with drawing pictures of Naruto, Death Note, Bleach, Inu Yasha, pokemon (i like pokemon :(), and SONIC and etc, and you're going to get spammed again with idiots who think you're the shit because you like anime and can draw the simplest form of art ever.
Cartoons are harder to draw than anime. It's cliche cookie cutter big shiney eyes abnormal anatomy no personality free ticket to fandom.
And yet the people who actually have talent (I am not nearly as good as most artists, but I do plan on getting better, so don't get me wrong I am not boasting about my "talent" because honestly mine is nil compared to someone like GHOST MOM or GHOST DAD .)
Again, whore yourself out, fake your personality, comment and fav and watch as much as you can. Draw anime. Draw lots of fanart. Oh, and lack a few million brain cells.

I remember when she leeched off of Wonchop's e-fame, who got famous from being hated by the oh so popular mr simon and rubber ninja. Too bad, Wonchop although still sucks, his animating and fame landed him a job with weebl. So it does pay to be a suck up and artwhore.
